Exclusive sneakers in Canada usually means one of two things: a drop that sells out in ninety seconds, or a colourway you can only get from one retailer. Only at JD is the second kind, and it’s the more interesting one.
You won’t find every version of the Air Max 90 on just any Canadian shelf. Same with the Samba OG in Aurora Coffee, and the Salomon XT-6 in Lilac Ash. Not different shoes. The same silhouettes you already know, finished in colourways made for or allocated to a single retailer. Here, that retailer is JD.
The shield badge represents those exclusive colours. The Only at JD collection runs hundreds of styles across footwear, apparel and accessories. Here’s a look at those unique to us styles, and how to shop them.
What "Only at JD" Actually Means
Only at JD means what it says, but it is worth being precise about the two things it covers.
The first is exclusive colourways. JD works with brand partners on finishes of familiar silhouettes that are produced for JD or allocated to JD in this market. The shoe is the same Air Force 1 or Handball Spezial you would recognize anywhere. The colour blocking, the materials and the details are what you cannot get elsewhere.
The second is JD-owned labels. Supply & Demand, Sonneti and Unlike Humans are not brands JD carries. They are brands JD owns. There is no other retailer to buy them from.
What Only at JD does not mean is limited edition. These are not hundred-pair drops. They are styles with a single home in Canada, which is a different kind of scarcity and, for most people, a more useful one.
The Brands You’ll Find in the Only at JD Range
Nike
Nike is the deepest part of the collection and the place where an exclusive colourway does the most work. The Air Force 1 ’07 carries several JD-exclusive finishes, including anthracite-on-anthracite with Football Blue detailing and an LV8 build in black and white. The Air Max 90 turns up in Light Smoke Grey with Football Blue, and the Air Max 95 Big Bubble lands in Black and University Red.
Tech Fleece runs through the apparel side of the collection too, so the sneaker and the layer can come from the same place.
adidas
adidas is where the exclusive colourway argument makes itself, because the Samba and the Handball Spezial are silhouettes half the country already owns. Differentiation is the whole game.
The Samba OG in Aurora Coffee and Khaki Three with a gum sole is the standout, a brown-on-cream build that reads warmer than the standard black and white. The Handball Spezial comes in Earth Strata and Khaki Three, and there is a women’s version in Brown and Cream White on the same gum outsole. If you already have a pair of Sambas, these are the ones that will not match everyone else’s.
Salomon, HOKA and On
OnExclusive shoes in Canada do not stop at sneakers. Salomon’s XT-6 lands here in Lilac Ash with Black and Silver, a softer read on a shoe that usually goes the other way. The HOKA Clifton 11 comes in a women’s Stardust and Mineral Blue. On's Cloudtilt 1 sits in the collection in all black.
These are performance silhouettes that moved into everyday rotation on their own, and the colourways here lean into that.
The Labels You Can Only Get at JD
An exclusive colourway is one thing. A brand that only exists in one place is another.
Supply & Demand is JD’s own label and the biggest of the three. It covers the everyday end of the rotation: graphic longsleeves, oversized pants, pieces built to sit around whatever sneaker you are wearing. The Global longsleeve tee and the Murphy oversized pants are a fair read on where the label sits.
Sonneti skews younger, and its juniors range is one of the reasons the Only at JD collection is worth a look if you are shopping for someone else. The Global t-shirt is the entry point.
Unlike Humans is the smallest of the three and the most design-led. The Whitting pants are the place to start.
None of these are stocked anywhere else. Not at another retailer, and not on a separate brand site, because there is not one. If you want them, this is the address.
How to Shop the Only at JD Collection
The full collection lives in one place on jdsports.ca. Filter by brand from the top of the page to go straight to JD Sports exclusive sneakers from Nike, adidas, Salomon and the rest, or filter by men’s, women’s and kids’ to narrow it down. The badge sits on every product tile in the collection, so you can spot exclusives while browsing the rest of the site too.
Stock moves. Colourways get added and sell through, so it is worth checking rather than bookmarking once.
Your rotation does not need another pair of the thing everyone else is wearing. Shop the Only at JD collection and find the version nobody else has.
